Amit Singh Gambhir is a seasoned technologist with almost 19 years of experience in building consumer and business-facing products in Wealth Management, Retail, and Telecom industries. He is currently the India head for PFMG Engineering at Goldman Sachs, where he leads teams that build client and advisor-facing products that facilitate investment advice, wealth strategies/insurance, tax planning & prep for HNW clients, and workplace financial wellness solutions for corporates. He is also the Global engg lead for Ayco's Personal Financial Wellness - Client Experience product. Amit is deeply passionate about working backwards from the customer, defining the problem statement & scale, and choosing tech based on the problem. He is committed to recruiting & scaling diverse teams that complement each other, challenge the status quo, and collaborate to raise the bar. His expertise lies in the areas of Senior Software Engineering, Search, Research Science, and Integration. Amit has worked with Goldman Sachs for several years, where he has held various leadership positions. As the Global technical head for Ultra-high net worth (UHNW) client portal's search, content, secure messaging & document management capabilities, he collaborated across Product, Design, and Engineering teams to create a roadmap for the next generation capabilities. He built a customizable, scalable content management system that allows for GS insights to be delivered to clients. He also created a powerful search engine that aggregates client content, news, research, and market data to deliver an integrated, contextual client experience. He scaled multiple technical leads & scrum teams to build and deliver these features in an agile fashion that allowed for sprint over sprint progress and gradual step-up in client experience for ~100K end-users of the portal. Amit holds an MS in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University and a BE in Electronics Engineering from VESIT Mumbai University. He has a wealth of experience in building successful products and leading teams to deliver results.
